Brianne Falgien is a renowned Wheat Ridge, Colorado-based personal injury and workers’ compensation lawyer. As a Founding Partner of Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C., she and her partners have built a personal injury and workers’ compensation firm with a reputation for taking care of its clients and devoting extensive time and attention to each case. In just under ten years of practice, Brianne has already garnered the attention of numerous prestigious organizations, including the Super Lawyers’® Colorado Rising Stars list for the last five years, an award given to less than 2.5% of distinguished Colorado attorneys.
Brianne has known for a long time that she was interested in the law, and initially intended to pursue a career in criminal law. With an eye toward that dream, she earned her undergraduate degree in criminal justice and psychology from the University of Wyoming and enrolled at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. While earning her J.D., Brianne began working as a law clerk at one of Denver’s largest personal injury firms. As she tells it, it was during this period that Brianne discovered her passion for personal injury representation:
While clerking, I found that I really enjoyed civil law, and actually preferred it to criminal law. I find it really rewarding to help individuals who were injured and are at a low point in their lives get compensation and fight the insurance companies. I became very passionate about being the person to hold their hands and get them through that process, and just knew I didn’t want to do anything else.
Upon graduating, Brianne immediately joined her former firm, The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya, where she created the personal injury litigation department, spent several years practicing workers’ compensation, and was the head of the Litigation Department for over eight years. When it became apparent that she had the experience and drive to found her own firm, Brianne joined forces with her current partners, building their firm Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C. upon the tri-pillars of care, attention, and expertise.
Today, what sets Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C. apart from other area firms is truly the passion of its founders and the quality of care they afford to each and every client they invite into their office. The small, hands-on firm is highly selective, allowing the attorneys to focus their energy efficiently in each case and remain in constant contact with their clients. Brianne and her partners take the time to truly learn about their clients’ circumstances—getting to know their families, visiting their homes, and observing how their injuries are affecting their lives—in order to eventually tell their stories, accurately and compellingly, to insurance companies, juries, opposing attorneys, or mediators. The result of this is that progress on cases handled by Falgien Warr & Iyer, P.C. moves faster than it would at a larger law firm.
As a lifelong athlete and former aerobics instructor, Brianne has always been particularly drawn to personal injury because of its capacity to improve upon the general health and well-being of her clients. In college, her first major was exercise physiology, and she has carried that passion for working towards proper functioning of the body as a route to emotional and spiritual health with her ever since. Uniquely dedicated to the science and medicine behind her clients' injuries, Brianne advocates for complete health in order to help her clients get back to what they love.
Already a leader in her field, Brianne relishes the opportunity to challenge the status quo in personal injury and workers’ compensation law. From the firm’s use of technology to the level of personalized attention given to each client, Brianne noted the benefits of finding the best ways to meet her clients’ needs:
We are a very modern, tech-savvy law firm. One of our goals is to remove paper from our law firm as much as possible. We like to text our clients and give them alternative ways to reach us at all times, so they don't have to go through a receptionist or eight paralegals before speaking to their lawyers like they would at a large firm. We want to be available to them right away, whether, be it by text or a direct phone number. We've found that clients really enjoy having that connection with their attorney, that direct support. And with today’s technology, there is absolutely no reason we should be doing it the old-fashioned way.
With so much success so early in her career, the future looks bright for Brianne and her nascent firm. Looking to the future, she plans to expand her firm by three staff members within the next five years, to meet the growing demand for her white glove representation, before capping their growth to ensure consistent, intimate and high-quality service. Her firm also plans to increase its involvement in the local community, as a sponsor for softball and baseball teams, among other kinds of philanthropy.
When not advocating for her clients, Brianne enjoys hiking and snowshoeing in Colorado’s stunning and arduous mountains; camping and exercising; watching the Wyoming Cowboys, Denver Broncos, and The UFC (MMA fighting); attending country music concerts; cruising throughout Colorado in her Jeep; spending time with friends and family; meeting new people; and traveling. Brianne and her husband, Corey, share their home in Wheat Ridge with their son, born in September of 2017, and their two cats (Madden and Peyton).
