C. David Howard, a Real Estate Broker based in Kalamazoo, Michigan with over forty years experience, is a leading expert in Michigan’s real estate market. He currently is the Broker and Owner of Century 21 C. Howard where he focuses on residential property, waterfront, and recreational property, investment and commercial property.
David began his career as a Sales Associate with Ty Carter and Associates where he gained his early experience, implemented his person-centered business philosophy and honed the skills necessary for creating a successful business. When Ty Carter retired in 1980, David established his own brokerage office, C. David Howard, Realtor®, and practiced as an independent until he purchased the CENTURY 21® franchise he currently owns and operates. It’s no surprise to anyone that, with the advent of the internet, the practice of real estate has morphed into something significantly different than that practiced in the mid 70’s when David began. "If you’re not keeping up with the advances in technology you might as well lock yourself in a closet," David says.
Since the CENTURY 21® System® is committed to providing franchises with the newest, best and most comprehensive tools and systems to address developments in the ever-expanding technological sector, it is a perfect fit for David and allows him to focus on what he does best, working with the people one on one.
David’s person-centered philosophy hasn’t stopped him from maintaining exceptionally high sales throughout his career. Within the CENTURY 21® System® has earned five successive Centurion® Awards (four of them Double Centurion® Awards), and is now a lifelong member of the CENTURY 21® Centurion® Honor Society in recognition of his high level of consistent sales production. Twice recognized as one of “The Thousand” top real estate professionals in the nation by Real Trends/Wall Street Journal, David now leads a team of agents who are accumulating awards of their own, not only for production but for Quality Service to their clients as well.
While such accolades are impressive, David’s success is grounded in his interest in and ability to build long-lasting relationships with his clients. This interest and ability have led to completed transactions all over Michigan, from Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas to Grand Rapids to White Pidgeon and on up to Harbor Springs where he facilitated the purchase of a bed and breakfast/winery.
When David isn’t helping others realize their homeownership dreams, he is enjoying his free time by fishing, boating, playing poker, and swing dancing with his wife. He is also an active member of his church, leading a Bible study classes for kids at Sunday school and adults on Wednesday evenings, yet, after almost half a century dedicated to real estate, David shows no signs of slowing down. "I’ll stop when I stop having fun," he says.
"And I’m still having fun."
