Elliott Squires is a distinguished REALTOR® based in Greenville, North Carolina. In four short years, Elliott has established himself as a formidable presence in the region’s residential real estate market. He currently works under the Century 21 umbrella where in 2016 he was recognized as both a Quality Service Pinnacle Producer and a Top Sales Agent-Units.
Elliott was working as a pharmacy technician and considering careers in business and nursing when he decided to enter the real estate world full-time, and he hasn’t looked back since. As he tells it:
After considering careers in business and healthcare, real estate seemed like a great alternative because it combines hands-on people skills along with assisting people make important financial decisions. My mom was working in interior design at the time, and so I went around with her to look at different properties, and it made me fall in love with real estate.”
A lifelong resident of Pitt County, North Carolina, Elliott set his sights on serving the community he knows best. Working with individuals and families in Greenville and surrounding areas, he strives to build lasting client relationships as he helps people realize their real estate dreams. For Elliott, that means staying true to himself and treating people with dignity. He explains:
I’ve always heard horror stories about how bad Realtors are, that they were money hungry and don’t care about anybody. I wanted to break that mold and give people the customer service they actually need.”
Since becoming a REALTOR®, Elliott has built his career around reaching that goal. Representing buyers and sellers alike, Elliott is proud to receive the vast majority of his referrals through word-of-mouth. In 2016, he was recognized among the “10 Best” in Client Satisfaction in North Carolina from the American Institute of Real Estate Professionals. Elliott also boasts a 99.8 percent client satisfaction rate since he obtained his license to practice in 2013.
As a leader in his field, Elliott is uniquely positioned to identify emerging trends in his market. In particular, he is extremely excited about the growing real estate market in and around Greenville. He’s quick to point out that despite the proximity to the Raleigh metropolitan area and beaches along the coast, Greenville remains one of the most affordable places to live in the region and is also home to East Carolina University. Lately, Elliott has been noticing the changing behaviors of young buyers and what they look for in a home. As he notes, their taste isn’t the same as their parent’s generation:
Our market isn't trendy like other larger cities and can sometimes seem a bit slow design-wise. We’re about three to four years behind the triangle. I’ve noticed younger people, my age, aren’t really into the concept of new construction, and people are getting away from that.”
With many prosperous years ahead of him, Elliott shows no signs of slowing down. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue building his brand and increase production by at least fifty percent, year over year. For Elliott, real estate has quickly become a labor of love, and he envisions much success in the future.
