For twenty-two years, Gina Tufano has provided high-quality, knowledgeable real estate services in Virginia. She is a REALTOR® and the head of Ask Gina & Company, a northern Virginia realty group under the Pearson Smith Realty Umbrella, which serves clients across the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. For her unforgettable and infectious energy and her dedication to client satisfaction, Gina has been recognized with a Lifetime Top Producer award from the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, among many other honors.
As a young woman buying her first home, Gina was disappointed by the level of service she received, and set out to do better for her own clients:
All of the Realtors I interacted with were awful, and I’m sorry to say that. But I just ended up scraping the information together and doing it myself.
After getting her real estate license in 1996, Gina hit the ground running and spent the next ten years helping clients buy and sell homes with Long & Foster and then five years with RE/MAX. At this time, she accepted a position as a team leader, and then as a Regional Cultural Director, at Keller Williams Realty Loudoun Gateway, where she was able to further develop the leadership, sales, and client service skills she had already accumulated.
Along the way, Gina accumulated numerous advanced certifications in order to serve her clients to the very best of her ability—she is an Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®), a Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE), and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®). In November of 2016, Gina struck out on her own, forming Ask Gina & Company.
Since its establishment, Ask Gina has quickly become a highly sought-after agency across northern Virginia and throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. Each member of the five-agent team has a genuine passion for helping clients make their homeownership dreams come true, and under Gina’s careful guidance, they have developed a reputation for comprehensive client service and unmatched market acumen. They strive to build long-lasting client relationships based on trust and positive results and believe in making each real estate experience unforgettable.
After nearly two and a half decades in the industry and such a diverse range of professional experience, Gina has become known as a true leader in her industry. She has given a Ted Talk among other prestigious speaking engagements and has been recognized by her community as a Washingtonian Top Agent in the D.C. metropolitan area. This prominence puts Gina in a unique position to observe trends and changes in the ever-evolving real estate world. She noted:
The market is changing quickly. We have had low inventory for about a year, which has been challenging for both buyers and sellers—people sometimes have nowhere to move when we sell their house! We have had to develop a lot of subtlety and precision in pricing houses as a result.
Looking forward, Gina hopes to ease the current challenges for her local clients by hiring a full-time marketing staff member to help clients buy and sell homes more efficiently without losing the trademark personal touch for which the Ask Gina team has become known.
When she isn’t working, Gina is a devoted member of her community and prioritizes spending time and energy giving back. She is currently on the board of Piece of the Pie, which helps local underserved children get access to clothing, shoes, and other essential items. Additionally, Gina has previously been involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Loudoun Habitat for Humanity, and the Special Olympics.
