Heidi Marchesotti is a top producing residential real estate agent with fifteen years of experience working with buyers and sellers in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a managing partner at Highland Partners of Mason-McDuffie Real Estate, a luxury residential boutique real estate firm in Piedmont, where she and her team are committed to helping clients achieve their real estate goals and transition into their new homes as seamlessly as possible. Heidi works with buyers, sellers, investors, and property managers across the Bay Area, including the cities of Oakland, Piedmont, Montclair, Crocker Highlands, Rockridge, Upper Rockridge, and Berkeley.
As she tells it, Heidi initially got her real estate license to help support her family, who thought she would have a knack for the industry:
I got my real estate license to be with my family. My sister was a builder, and she was having a difficult time finding a real estate agent she could work with and trust to represent her best interests. At the same time, my husband was diagnosed with kidney failure. When I was working for Berkeley Capital Management, I had to travel all over the Western United States. And between my husband’s needs, my sister’s needs, and my new baby girl, I needed to stop traveling.
A Bay Area native, Heidi studied international relations and economics at San Francisco State University, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 1994. Before embarking on her career in real estate, Heidi was a financial advisor and worked at Berkeley Capital Management as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. She also did some consulting at Wells Fargo Securities with the estate-planning department, serving the bank’s private clients.
In 2001, Heidi earned her real estate license and upon teaming up with Adam Betta, Debbi DiMaggio, and Mindy Sun, co-founded Highland Partners, which caters to the Piedmont community to this day. Heidi and her team prioritize the needs of their clients, guiding them through the buying and selling process every step of the way. Utilizing her comprehensive network of real estate service professionals, she is able to offer clients a customized approach to reaching their dreams of homeownership, including unique marketing and individualized, around the clock customer service.
Heidi's experience at Berkeley Capital Management has given her a thorough understanding of the local financial and estate planning markets. This gives her an edge when she’s working to find clients the right home at the right price. From their initial consultation all the way through to closing on a property, Heidi provides realistic, comprehensive financial guidance.
Working in an area with such a high demand for real estate, Heidi and her team always keep their fingers on the pulse of the evolving Bay Area markets, including those of San Francisco, Piedmont, Oakland, Lafayette and Walnut Creek. In particular, she is paying close attention to the constantly shifting climate of markets and how staying up to date with trends and developments helps her provide the most efficient and tailored services to her clients. She noted:
We live in one of the most successful parts of the country, what with the technology and the Bay Area corporate scene. So it's an ever-evolving real estate market in terms of people entering the space and big companies leaving and coming in at the same time. It's a big corridor here and you have to always be paying attention to the engine flow of masses and people. We're mostly a lifestyle company here so we're really marketing and seeking out what people are looking for in terms of their lifestyle requirements and then trying to find the neighborhood that fits best for them.
With a decade and a half of experience behind her, Heidi looks forward to a bright future ahead. She hopes to continue giving back to the community through Highland Partners’ work with Habitat for Humanity in conjunction with Give Back Homes. Her company also works closely with Alameda County Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club of Oakland, making sure to host one company-wide charitable giving event every month. When she’s not working or keeping busy with community involvement, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband and watching her daughter Sophia play soccer.
