Majid Foroozandeh is a distinguished lawyer based in Irvine, California. An Avvo rated attorney with just over a decade of experience, Mr. Foroozandeh is the founder of Law Offices of Foroozandeh, APC where he offers clients industry-leading advice and aggressive representation in the areas of immigration, civil litigation, and personal injury law. Mr. Foroozandeh’s exceptional reputation has earned him recognition from several prominent organizations including the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys and the Small Business Community Association, as well as inclusion the Who’s Who Directories’ 2016 edition of the Top Attorneys in North America.
Though today Mr. Foroozandeh is widely considered one of the leading attorneys in California, his journey to the top of his field followed a somewhat circuitous path. Originally from Iran, before entering the legal field in 2007 he had a lucrative career in engineering.
After graduating cum laude in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the National University in San Diego in 1989, Mr. Foroozandeh went on to earn his Masters in Business Administration from the same school the following year. Foroozandeh began practicing engineering with Wang Laboratories, a prominent technology company, for fifteen years. It was with Wang’s support that he obtained his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law. After Wang, Mr. Foroozandeh went on to found the engineering firm, PSA, LLC which he operated for ten years before finally making the switch to a practicing law full time.
Today, Mr. Foroozandeh is a trusted California attorney who fights passionately for his clients’ civil rights. His practice ranges from personal injury and medical malpractice to civil litigation and workers’ compensation. Admitted to practice in California, numerous Courts of Appeals around the nation, and in the US Tax court, among others, Mr. Foroozandeh is perhaps best known for his work in immigration reform and as an advocate for the rights of mentally disabled criminal defendants.
As a thought-leader in his field, Mr. Foroozandeh is a published author and frequent speaker on his areas of practice. Additionally, he strives to keep his clients and colleagues up-to-date on current challenges to justice nationwide and around the world and frequently authors insightful thought-pieces which are available on his website. Most recently, Mr. Foroozandeh wrote on the topic of the constitutionality of the recently proposed immigration bans. He noted:
Though Article II, Section I of the constitution provides the President of the United States the power to issue Executive Orders without congressional approval, there may be an issue if the Executive Order is in conflict with another clause of the constitution. In this case, it conflicts with the Establishment Clause, which prohibits congress from making a law establishing a national religion, or forbidding the free exercise thereof. In terms of the immigration ban, the question at hand is whether President Trump's Executive Order is hindering Muslims from freely exercising their religion or is solely to prevent detriment to the United States, rendering it legal. The answer depends on who you ask and I believe it will eventually find it's way to the Supreme Court.
After a just over a decade dedicated to law, Mr. Foroozandeh is as passionate about defending clients’ rights as he was at the onset of his career. Looking to the future, he hopes to expand his firm to include more justice-driven attorneys to practice alongside himself and his award-winning team, while continuing to provide the industry-leading representation for which he has become known.
When he is not championing his clients’ rights, Mr. Foroozandeh is an avid deep-sea diver, rides his mountain bikes, and spends time with his family and friends.
