Paul R. Ayerbe has been representing the interests of those injured due to the negligence of others for over twenty-five years. One of the highest-rated personal injury trial attorneys in the state of Georgia, Mr. Ayerbe is the managing partner of Ayerbe & Arnold, LLC, in Macon where he has successfully recovered tens of millions of dollars for clients who have suffered from truck, car, and motorcycle accidents.
Born outside of New York City to an immigrant family, Mr. Ayerbe learned the value of hard work from his father who came to the United States with nothing and retired as the Director of Languages at the University of Illinois at Chicago. From a young age, he managed to parlay his father’s influence into success. As an undergraduate at Syracuse University, he was admitted into the honors program and graduated with a degree in international relations and a minor in Spanish.
After earning his B.A., Mr. Ayerbe entered the United States Army as an officer in 1986. As he tells it, it was during his time in the service that he decided to pursue a career in law:
When I was in the Army, I met this girl, and in my initial encounter with her, I told her I was going to be a lawyer one day. And she just held me to it; I kept to my word, and we're still together to this day.
Mr. Ayerbe went on to study at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law where he was chosen to represent Mercer University on its Moot Court Team that participated in national competitions. After graduating from Mercer University with a Juris Doctor in 1992, Mr. Ayerbe joined the law firm of Lovett, Cowart, and Ayerbe, which is now known as Ayerbe & Arnold, LLC. Today, he practices alongside fellow attorneys William Trimble Arnold and J. Douglas Cowart. Together, the three attorneys have over sixty years of combined experience.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Ayerbe has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, including one of Georgia’s top verdicts for 2010 as well as record-breaking results in both rural and urban counties in Georgia. Additionally, he obtained a $4.2 million recovery in the Federal Middle District of Georgia. The firm has been featured on the cover of the Fulton County Daily Report as a result of outstanding trial verdicts. These successes have helped Mr. Ayerbe maintain a “Superb” Rating on Avvo and a reputation among judges, colleagues, and clients alike as a skilled and effective litigator.
As a leader in his field, Mr. Ayerbe keeps his finger on the pulse of the most recent developments in both law and medicine, enabling himself and his firm to offer clients a level of service that sets them apart from their competition. He elaborates:
We stay up to date on the latest medical advancements for back and neck injuries. We also have close relationships with doctors and other medical professionals who help us follow new developments. Those factors allow us to give our clients additional advice that most other personal injury attorneys can't provide.
With over a quarter-century of successful practice under his belt, Mr. Ayerbe shows no signs of slowing down. Looking to the future, he intends to continue providing industry-leading service, holding corporations accountable to help all of his firm’s clients receive the compensation they need and deserve.
Outside of his thriving legal practice, Mr. Ayerbe is a past President of the Middle Georgia Trial Lawyer Association and has been chosen to participate in local hospital senior community leader programs.
