With nearly a decade of experience, Tina Plett is a distinguished REALTOR® based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Currently working with Sutton Group-Kilkenny Real Estate, Tina is a rural agent serving southeastern Manitoba. Renowned for her industry-leading client service and unparalleled marketing techniques, Tina has been featured in Top Agent Magazine (April 2018 issue) among other honours.
Today a leading Winnipeg Realtor, Tina began her professional career as a reflexologist. As she tells it, when arthritis left her unable to continue in her beloved job, she went on to look for another line of work that would provide her with the same emotional fulfillment:
I wanted to do something where I could still serve people one-on-one. I was looking at my personality profile, and I knew I was good at sales, so I just needed to find something I could sell. It had to be something I believed in, and real estate, to me, is extremely personal and meaningful, because being able to plant roots and have a place you can call your own is completely life-changing.
Tina joined Sutton Group-Kilkenny Real Estate in 2010 and has since built a thriving business that is based on client satisfaction. Five years later, she partnered with Eniko Crozier, and together they have developed a mission statement of being “Attentive from Sign Up to Sign Down.” Tina’s success over the years has received numerous distinctions from her company, such as the Director's, Executive, and President's Awards.
Though Tina serves both buyers and sellers, she focuses a lot of her efforts on her listings and delivering cutting-edge marketing techniques:
Presentation is key in getting people top dollar, so I utilize the best technology to get my listings noticed, including virtual reality tours and 3D walkthroughs.
With that, Tina notes, comes transparent and constant communication:
I learned that across the world, the biggest complaint people have about listing agents is that the agents pursue them until they get the listing, and then disappear. People are stuck not knowing what is going on. So, I decided to keep in regular contact with my clients and go above and beyond to keep them in the loop.
Throughout her career, Tina has prioritized continuing education and has earned various certifications, such as the Certified Real Estate Team Specialist (C-RETS) and the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE®) certifications. She also attends the National Association of REALTORS'® annual conference to keep up with current trends in real estate. In particular, she noted that there has been a dramatic increase in the usage of Internet searches to find properties:
In the last four years there has been a 253 percent increase in people using Google searches to find homes, so they’re not going to each individual brokerage like they used to. When I saw that statistic, I knew I needed to be able to tag my listings to be found on the searches, and I have made sure to stay technologically savvy to be able to do that.
Nearing the end of her first decade in her new career, Tina’s inventive approach in reformulating the real estate buying/selling experience has quickly taken her to the top of her field. Moving forward, she hopes that by sharing responsibilities with her partner Eniko, not only will she multiply her production, but also be able to make more time to do the things she loves, including enjoying the outdoors and supporting the Robb Nash Project.
